Synopsis:

Incompleteness narrates the story of a young girl from the new generation of Iranians whose lifestyle differs from the previous generation in more ways than one. Deemed reckless and aimless, this generation has grown up in opposition to the mainstream culture, tradition and religion of the Iranian society. Their distinctive feature is their dedication to instantaneous joy and pleasure.

Unlike their previous generation, no kind of limitations can stop them from doing what they want to do and how they want to be; the consequence of which has been a rejection from the society and, at times, their families. This is why they deem the option of leaving Iran as their only solution and their escape plan, even if it is without any plans or goals. “Incompleteness” is the narrative of the everyday life of Romina, a 21-year-old girl who works in a cafe and has a sexual orientation that is not accepted in Iranian society. She tries various ways to leave Iran, but in the end, can she achieve her goal of leaving Iran?
