About Mohammad Reza Kheradmandan
Born in 1984 in Shiraz, Iran, Mohammad Reza Kheradmandan is a distinguished filmmaker renowned for his contributions to Iranian cinema. A graduate of the IRIB University with a degree in film directing, he has an extensive portfolio that includes short films, feature films, and television series.
Notable Works:
- “Guardian of the Field” (Natoor-e Dasht) (2025): Tells the story of Ahmad Piran, a respected village elder who postpones attending his son’s important sports competition to lead a desperate search for a missing girl in his community. In the process, he confronts hidden dangers and moral dilemmas. Natoor-e Dasht (Guardian of the Field) won the Crystal Simorgh for Best National Film at the 43rd Fajr International Film Festival in 2025.
- “21 Days Later” (2017): Kheradmandan’s debut feature film, which won the Audience Award at the 35th Fajr International Film Festival in Tehran.
- “Thursday Appointment” (2019): A poignant short film that garnered international acclaim for its storytelling and emotional depth.
